Job summary The post advertised is for a Locum (1 Year) Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in Upper Limb Orthopaedic Surgery, this post is to support a growing need to deliver treatment of patients with Upper Limb conditions from an elective and Non-elective perspective. The post holder will be joining a team of clinicians keen to deliver high quality care and innovate within the current national healthcare landscape. The post is based at Darlington Memorial Hospital, and will contribute to providing a 1 in 9 trauma service, with elective clinic and theatre sessions at Bishop Auckland Hospital and Darlington Memorial Hospital, satellite community hospitals and the University Hospital of North Durham site as and when required, although the latter is anticipated to be in rare circumstances. The basic contract is for 10 programmed activities plus an additional 3% for a 1:9 on call week.
