We are currently recruiting for a Finance Business Partner, reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, to provide financial insights, strategic advice, and support to help Tunstall achieve its objectives. This role would be based at our Whitley, Yorkshire office working on a hybrid basis. What will you be doing in this role? As our Finance Business Partner, you will work across the UKI business and build strong business relationships with business leaders and heads of department to understand their objectives, challenges and financial needs. Analysing business performance, including revenues, costs, margins, and profitability and preparing reports and insights for senior management to support decision-making is vital to the success of this role. In addition, you will lead on the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process to ensure alignment with business goals. The Ideal candidate: To be successful in this role you will have proven experience in a finance business partnering, or similar role within a medium sized matrix structured commercial organisation with people management responsibilities, and ideally have a professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA). You will have demonstrable experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting and be highly proficient in the use of Excel and in using database, data and financial modelling tools and software. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to build effective relationships with non-financial stakeholders and influence and drive business decisions using financial data. You will be customer focused, proactive, resilient and confident, with a high attention to detail, able to solve problems effectively and ensure completion of tasks to time and required quality. The ability to coach and development team members is vital to the success of this role. Some of your key tasks will be Business Partnership: Build strong relationships with business leaders and department heads to understand their objectives, challenges, and financial needs, Financial Analysis: Analyse business performance, including revenues, costs, margins, and profitability. Prepare reports and insights for senior management to support decision-making, Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning process to ensure alignment with business goals, Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), identifying trends and recommending corrective actions, Cost Management: Assist in identifying cost-saving opportunities and driving operational efficiency improvements, Financial Modelling: Provide financial models and scenario analysis to support bids & tenders, investment decisions, new projects, and business growth initiatives, Pricing: Develop flexible pricing models to respond to market and customer demand, recognising the different business unit cost drivers; and price / margin sensitivity, Strategic Support: Contribute to the development of long-term business strategies, providing financial insights and helping evaluate strategic initiatives. Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a key liaison between the finance team and other business units to ensure financial objectives are aligned with business strategies, Line Management: Manage, coach and develop and train the Finance Analyst. Key skills and experience: Previous experience in a finance business partnering role or similar position, Professional qualification (e.g, ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, Experience in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, Highly proficient in the use of Excel, experience in use of database and financial modelling software and data analysis tools, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with non-financial stakeholders, Ability to influence and drive business decisions using financial data, Customer focused, delivers a high level of customer service to both internal customers and Group Finance, Highly resilient, confident in challenging and making critical decisions, Knowledge of commercial or operational business processes, Experienced People Manager.
