Corporate and Philanthropic Executive
Who are we: Since 1988, Everton in the Community has become a dynamic force for good, harnessing the unifying power of football to drive social change and address societal challenges across Liverpool City Region. Supported by a team of over 130 full-time staff and over 200 volunteers, the independently governed and financed charity offers an extensive array of more than 60 programmes and initiatives that tackle a diverse range of social issues including health, employability, anti-social behaviour, crime, exploitation, education, dementia, and disability.
Everton in the Community stands firmly beside the most at-risk and most in need members of its local communities, but the needs of the city are ever-growing and evolving.
About the opportunity: Everton in the Community is seeking to appoint a Corporate and Philanthropic Executive to support and assist with the delivery of operational fundraising activities across the charity, with a specific focus on supporting and developing corporate and high-value income streams.
The Corporate and Philanthropic Executive will also support the Fundraising Manager and team in undertaking industry research and support the planning, development, communication, and implementation of the wider Everton in the Community Fundraising strategy, meeting agreed targets within the context of the charity’s strategic direction.
Other key responsibilities will include:
1. Playing a key role in the planning, preparation, and delivery of all key fundraising products, events, campaigns, and initiatives throughout the year with a particular focus on corporate and high-value income streams.
2. Developing, creating, and coordinating philanthropic and corporate-specific events within the context of the charity's fundraising strategy.
3. Stewarding and cultivating corporate and philanthropic partnerships and products and associated processes such as pipelines.
4. Supporting the development and implementation of the data strategy in relation to income growth opportunities.
5. Contributing to a culture of excellent relationship management by building on existing relationships with supporters and developing new ones, engaging them to deliver with the charity's fundraising events and initiatives.
6. Lead Generation: Generating new leads that sit across various fundraising products and initiatives including the 1878 community club.
7. Ensuring thorough risk assessments are carried out prior to fundraising events and activities, taking into account and reporting any potential hazards that may occur and doing everything possible to eradicate the risk.
Safeguarding:
1. Understanding the Club’s Safeguarding policy, procedures, and best practice guidelines.
2. Using this understanding to ensure safe working practices, appropriate reporting of concerns, and contributing positively to an anti-bullying environment.
Who we are looking for: We are looking for an individual who is self-driven and takes a creative approach in identifying opportunities, with proven knowledge and experience of the corporate, high net worth, and individual donor giving landscape. In addition, our successful candidate will also demonstrate the following skills, knowledge, and experience:
1. Project management qualification or equivalent (desirable though not essential).
2. Proven experience of generating income from a variety of sources.
3. Knowledge of corporate social responsibility and ESG and how this translates to charitable income.
4. Knowledge and experience of using CRM systems to develop pipelines and manage donor relationships effectively.
5. Experience in event, account, and relationship management and the ability to network effectively.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor approaches based on the audience.
7. Ability to create bespoke ‘partnership’ packages and propositions fitting the needs of specific ‘supporters’.
8. Highly computer literate (with strong abilities in Word, Excel, and ideally Database knowledge and application).
9. Ability to approach tasks with an open mind and work creatively both independently and with others to create powerful propositions.

This position will be offered on a Permanent Contract working 35 hours per week, with the role being based across our Everton in the Community campus.
