We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic Health, Safety, and Environmental Lead to join our team at our Wrexham factory. In this pivotal role, you’ll be at the forefront of ensuring compliance, promoting safe practices, and protecting our people, assets, and the environment. You’ll report directly to the Wrexham Plant Director and collaborate closely with the UK HSE Manager. About The Role Champion HSE Culture: Lead the charge in fostering a culture of health, safety, and environmental excellence among our Wrexham employees. Maintain Standards: Support and enhance our HSE Management Systems in line with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards. Drive Awareness: Implement innovative initiatives to boost HSE awareness and responsibility across the site. Track Performance: Monitor and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure we meet our safety goals. Enhance Programs: Contribute to and improve our existing programs like Behavioral Safety and Continuous Improvement. Risk Management: Conduct ongoing risk assessments and implement effective control measures. Ensure Compliance: Oversee plant equipment and systems to ensure they meet statutory and corporate requirements. Advise on Safety: Provide expert guidance on safety requirements for new plant, equipment, and buildings. Lead Meetings: Chair Health & Safety Committee and Departmental meetings at the Wrexham site. Represent Us: Act as our representative in meetings with external Inspectorates and other stakeholders. Qualifications & Requirements Proven experience in a similar HSE role, preferably within a manufacturing or engineering environment. Ideally educated to degree-level in engineering or a related technical discipline, however this is not essential. Knowledge of HSE legislation and best practices. Formal HSE qualifications or IEMA Certificate. HSE Internal Auditor certification, with experience in conducting integrated audit programs. Strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams. Proactive, results-driven, resilient, and passionate about making a positive impact.
