circa £80,000 salary plus bonus up to £15,000 per annum and benefits
We’re delighted to be working in partnership with and recruiting an Operations Director for Tewinbury, an independent, family-run hotel and event destination in the stunning Hertfordshire countryside.
Tewinbury is a place where people go to slow down, celebrate, connect and as Operations Director, you will be instrumental in making this happen seamlessly, every single time.
Working closely with the owners and leadership team this is a pivotal role at the heart of the business.
As Operations Director, you will oversee and manage the smooth, efficient and thoughtful running of day-to-day operations – from guest experience, to food & beverage, accommodation, events, team culture and service standards.
What you'll be doing
* Lead the operations team with confidence, care and clarity
* Oversee all departments (front of house, F&B, housekeeping, events, kitchen
* and more)
* Work alongside the directors to develop strategy and long-term goals
* Maintain and improve service standards, systems and operational flow
* Be a key driver of team culture – hiring, developing and retaining brilliant
* people
* Find ways to evolve and elevate the guest experience across all touch points
* Keep a close eye on performance, budgets, supplier relationships and
* compliance
* Roll up your sleeves when needed
What we're looking for
Experience: a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior operations role in hospitality, preferably in a large event/ F&B venue or boutique/luxury hotel environment.
Leadership: proven track record of effective leadership, with the ability to inspire and manage a large, diverse team.
Diligence: you will be responsible for everything from Health and Safety to Standard Operating procedures so we need a strong operational mindset to
ensure we are always compliant to legislation.
Financial Acumen: strong understanding of financial management, budgeting, and reporting.
Customer Focus: deep commitment to delivering exceptional guest service.
Innovation: ability to drive innovation and improvement within the operation.
Communication: excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
