An opportunity exists in the Council’s Street Scene Services for an REL Skip Driver working from our depot at Castleford. What will be expected from me? The postholder will be required to demonstrate that they have the following skills, knowledge and experience:- To be an ambassador for the Council when dealing with all stakeholders To be self-motivated and can motivate others. To have a good understanding of Health & Safety procedures. The ability to assess problems and provide practical solutions. To have the ability to prioritise conflicting demands To display good numeracy and literacy skills To have the ability to multi-task and display a flexible working approach What I might be doing? The post holder as part of their roles and responsibilities will:- Drive various LGV / Non LGV Vehicles Carry out daily vehicle checks Collect skips and transporting the waste to appropriate disposal point from businesses across the district. Essential requirements: Current clean LGV Driving Licence (category C). The Licence to show no more than 6 penalty points as per current national driving penalties system. Driver Certificate of Professional Competence qualification (DCPC). What can I expect? This is a full-Time post of 37 hours per week. Support and ongoing training.
