Job summary We are looking to appoint a band 5 RNLD to work within our integrated mental health and substance misuse team at HMP Wymott. The successful applicant will be responsible for the ongoing assessment and care of men who are residing in HMP Wymott. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, enthusiastic and committed to providing excellent patient care. The successful applicant will be expected to carry out direct clinical work with a variety of service users. They will also be responsible for contributing to workforce development, which is inclusive of both health and prison staff, and is intended to support the understanding and skill base of staff working with service users. The post holder will ensure that the work for the range of services is well planned with full involvement of the prison, and that all team members have a good understanding of the delivery of the service and their role within this. Main duties of the job To complete service specified assessment tools within agreed timescales for those who are referred into the service. Assess, develop and implement care packages for service users within the framework of the CPA in conjunction with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. Works within codes of practice and professional guidelines and is accountable for own professional practice. To manage a defined caseload of complex and challenging service users in custodial settings. Develop and implement evidence-based interventions in the management of service users with identified/ suspected learning disabilities.
