The Role As a Commis Chef, you will work under the guidance of senior chefs to prepare high-quality ingredients, maintain excellent kitchen hygiene, and support the smooth operation of service. This role is ideal for someone looking to learn, grow, and build a successful career in an ambitious and dynamic restaurant environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation and cooking of dishes, ensuring consistency and high standards. Maintain a clean, organised, and efficient workstation, following all food hygiene and safety regulations. Work closely with senior chefs to learn techniques, develop skills, and improve performance. Assist in mise en place preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepped and ready for service. Monitor stock levels and ensure minimal waste, supporting efficient kitchen operations. Follow HACCP and food safety standards, ensuring compliance at all times. Demonstrate a positive attitude, teamwork, and a willingness to learn in a high-pressure environment. Requirements & Skills: Previous kitchen experience is preferred but not essential—enthusiasm, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn are key. A passion for cooking and a keen interest in Mexican and Japanese cuisine. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
