Our client, a Private Oil & Gas company based in Aberdeen, United Kingdom, is seeking a Permanent Cost Engineer to join their dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing project cost functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysing costs to ensure that projects are delivered within budget. You will work closely with project managers and different stakeholders to ensure financial accountability and support decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a Senior Cost Engineer and a strong understanding of the cost management practices within the Oil & Gas industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Manage project cost functions, including budgeting, forecasting, and analysing costs.
2. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to ensure financial accountability.
3. Support decision-making processes related to project costs.
Minimum Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Finance, or a related field.
* Proven experience as a Senior Cost Engineer within the Oil & Gas sector.
* Strong knowledge of cost estimation, cost control, and budgeting processes.
* Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Capability to present complex cost data and analysis in a clear manner.
