To implement practices which bring about effective and efficient care pathways in partnership with the Director, Assistant Directors, professional leads and the Associate Medical Director/Clinical Directors.To ensure that staff undertake their statutory duties including obligations under the MHA 1983, Safeguarding, Infection Control and other relevant legislation.To ensure that staff are aware/adhere to Trust Policies and procedures and identify areas in directorate where further policy/procedural guidance would support delivery of service.To be responsible for, and lead on, local policy implementation and development, for example, when new services are commissioned ensure that a SOP and Policy are put in place that ensures patient safety, high standards of care and operational efficiency.To continually evaluate the local policies and SOPs in place to ensure services continue to be effective and meet changing needs of patients and the local demographic, for example when service demand increases or new technology/medical advances can improve the way in which we work.Manage the budgets of services responsible for, by constantly evaluating the service model and delivery to ensure that working within budget and to review the parameters of the service to ensure cost effective, e.g. utilising new ways of working or technologies to increase efficiency.To promote evidence based effective practice and work within the governance structure.To positively promote the activities and image of NELFT in a way that places it in a position of change agent.To gather data of a qualitative and quantitative nature so that service developments are based on unmet need.To share information and present highly complex information to a wider audience, e.g., Inquests, Partnership meetings, contract discussions. This may be in the form of formal presentations, leading meetings, or one-to-one discussions on a range of issues including briefing, negotiating and problem solving.To ensure material resources are available in order to deliver a quality service and supports staff and patients in achieving their goals.To foster a climate that supports innovation and inspires therapeutic optimism.To ensure health and safety regulations are met.To ensure complaints are managed effectively and compliments reviewed to ensure outcomes are used constructively to inform service improvements.As Deputy Director ensure governance arrangement provide appropriate assurances through to the Board.To ensure the Care Quality Commission and other regulatory requirements are fully met or mitigation developed and risks noted.Represent the trust/organisations at a senior level in Coroners Court in respect of Reg 28 (prevention of future deaths).
