Quantity Surveyor required to join leading civil engineering contractor for civil engineering projects in the York area. The ideal candidate will come from a civil engineering or groundworks background with a solid quantity surveying background. Quantity Surveyors with highways or RC structures experience would be an advantage for the role.

The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for:

1. Managing the resources of a project lifecycle to ensure successful project outcomes and maximize profit.
2. Providing planning, provision, and monitoring of commercial support and assurance to the Project Manager and the project delivery team.
3. Pursuing own professional development and providing guidance and support to develop other commercial staff.
4. Showing competency in all commercial duties from contract negotiation to procurement, variations, valuations, payments, and final accounts.
