Job Summary

The post holder will be the Programme Manager for the implementation of the new electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) in Powys Teaching Health Board and have overall responsibility for the integrity and coherence of the project.
Main duties of the job
1. Management of single or multiple programmes spanning the entire process for programme definition, programme planning through to implementation and transition to operational use.
2. Delivery of successful programmes of diverse complexity across the health and social care community.
3. Contribute to development of change management and benefit realisation plans, ensuring alignment between service development, business as usual and corporate strategy.
The post holder is expected to support colleagues and transfer skills in order to grow and embed service improvement and programme management capabilities within the organisation and to champion the role of the Digital Transformation across PTHB.

Welcome to Powys Teaching Health Board! Powys Teaching Health Board is responsible for meeting the health and wellbeing needs of the people of Powys, mid Wales. As a rural health board with around 133,000 people living across an area that is a quarter of Wales, we provide as many services as possible locally. This is mainly through GPs and other primary care services, community hospitals and community services.
As we don't have a District General Hospital, we work closely with other organisations in Wales and England to provide services for the people of Powys. We always strive to deliver as many services in Powys as possible including assessment and follow ups after treatment. The health board also works closely with Powys County Council and the voluntary sector to meet the needs of the community.

* Educated to master's level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
* Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft O365 applications including Project and Planner
* Experience of hands-on delivery and management of complex full lifecycle projects ideally within the NHS or a public sector organisation

* PRINCE II and/or Managing Successful Programmes (MSP) Practitioner
