Job Title: Governance Officer
Salary: From £38,800 + Excellent Benefits
Location: Salford Quays, Manchester or Angel Court, London (UK wide travel)
Working Options: Hybrid Working – able to attend office when needed
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Your work will directly contribute to maintaining high standards of record keeping, data quality, and stakeholder management, which are essential for delivering excellent health services. Key Responsibilities
1. Manage and maintain the inventory of management committee Terms of References in collaboration with various secretaries.
2. Coordinate annual committee effectiveness reviews of Bupa Insurance management committees, present findings to stakeholders, and track actions until completed.
3. Draft key frameworks, policies, and procedures in conjunction with senior stakeholders across the business and ensure they go through governance.
4. Support the Head of Controls and Standards with ad hoc management requests.
5. Perform Quality Assurance on Controls testing.
6. Contribute to key risk and governance reporting (1st and 2nd Line).
7. Establish strong working relationships across all relevant functions, including 2nd and 3rd Line teams.
8. Maintain high standards of record keeping and data quality at all times.
What We’re Looking For
9. Experience working in Risk, Governance, or Internal Controls.
10. Strong business writing skills with the ability to articulate technical matters in simple language.
11. Ability to travel to office locations nationally (London, Manchester, Brighton, Staines).
12. Company secretariat experience and awareness of the regulatory environment impacting the financial services industry is desirable.
13. Demonstrate influencing skills and comfortable challenging senior stakeholders with constructive and evidence-based rationale.
14. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to present confidently to varied audiences.
