Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to advance our engineering resource aligned against our client's UK HQ site in Bishopsgate, London.
The client are a prestigious retail & corporate bank with this site being 100% critical for their UK operation, housing client director level leadership and several important functions
To keep the building running, there is a myriad of LV and HV electrical networks, that we look after through a strong site based Maintenance Engineering team
The purpose of the role is to work with the Principal Engineers, Authorising Engineers, Technical Project managers and site teams to drive excellence in the site and contract teams’ working practices regarding Safe Systems of Work and Engineering standards. The Senior Electrical Authorised Person will provide technical assistance to these teams as required and will act as Authorised Person for the NatWest group, London sites first and foremost – assisting other southern sites on the account as appropriate.
This is a fantastic role for either an SAP, or accomplished LV & HV AP looking to progress, playing a fundamental part in engineering delivery across a prestige site for a renowned banking client
Implement, administer and audit safe systems of work on all appointed accounts
Be responsible for setting the Safe System of Work requirements for High-Risk activities on sites
Interview, assess and appoint authorised persons across contracts in line with company policies, standards and procedures
Define the exact extent of the systems and installations for which each Authorised Person (LV) is responsible and, where appropriate, any part of the system which is excluded from the Authorised Person responsibilities
Robust level of Electrical qualification and either an SAP appointment or HV AP from a recognisable training provider, with the technical ability and drive to succeed as SAP
Able to work in a high profile, corporate, critical banking facility
