Randstad are looking for an experienced Sub Agent with pavement and civils experience to join a major improvements framework at Heathrow Airport with a renowned main contractor. This role will be predominantly on NIGHT SHIFT (8pm - 6am).
Scope of works may include but not limited to taxiways, runways, stands, roads, demolition works, underground and above ground structures.
What You'll Do:
Lead & Mentor: Supervise a team of engineers, ensuring high levels of engineering control and the generation of accurate records.
Safety & Compliance: Implement safety procedures, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
Project Management: Support the project agent in managing costs, timelines, and resources.
Communication & Coordination: Communicate effectively with commercial staff, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
Material & Subcontractor Management: Manage the ordering process, supplier relationships, and subcontractor performance.
Documentation & Reporting: Prepare daily activity briefings, maintain accurate records, and advise on potential commercial or contractual liabilities.
What You'll Bring:
* Site Experience: Proven experience at section engineering level on civil and services projects.
Commercial Acumen: Demonstrated application of commercial and contractual knowledge.
Cost Consciousness: Experience working in a cost-conscious environment.
People Management: Strong people management skills and experience mentoring engineers.
Subcontractor Management: Experience managing subcontractors effectively.
Safety & Compliance: CSCS card and a commitment to safety and compliance.
Flexibility: Ability to adapt to changing needs and prioritiesMinumum Requirements:
Degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent HND/HNC
Previous main contractor experience working on pavements / airports environment
