Our Engineering Apprenticeship was created to enhance learning and growth through a combination of study and on-the-job learning. At no additional cost, you will complete a BEng Hons degree in Railway Engineering along with the opportunity to apply your learning in the real world and become a fully qualified Project Engineer.

As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
This apprenticeship is an exciting one as it offers the opportunity to work with Engineers from across multiple disciplines such as:
* Signaling
* Telecoms
* Civils
* E&P (Electrification & Plant)
* Buildings.
In addition, we’ll teach you how to lead people and teams as well as helping create a safe and sustainable environment for everyone.
There’s plenty of learning in this scheme, you will be taught the core knowledge, skills and behaviour needed to get you on the path to achieving your Incorporated Engineer (IEng) qualification.
To widen your skillset in as many areas as possible, you’ll participate in rotations across several different functions. There are academic courses along with internal training throughout so you’ll gain the appropriate skills for a career with Network Rail.
