About you
You will be educated to at least master’s degree level in an area relevant to the subject and hold registration as a nurse or midwife with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). You will also have a broad experience in the leadership and management of teams with the ability to shape the academic portfolio whilst working with others to enhance the staff and student experience. You will also have experience of working with delegated budgets and line management. Excellent communication skills are essential as is the ability to work under pressure, prioritising when required to meet deadlines.
Qualifications
Essential;
1. Level 7 qualification or equivalent professional qualification or experience, aligning with subjects in the School or Faculty
2. Registration with the relevant Regulator (NMC)
Desirable;
3. A Doctoral qualification
4. Professional Recognition as HEA Fellow (D2) or teaching qualification recognised by HESA
Faculty
The Faculty of Health, Sport and Behavioural Sciences offers a wide-ranging suite of programmes focused on improving the health, social care, physical activity and sport, psychology and wellbeing of people living and working across the county, nationally and globally. The faculty has 4 schools: Nursing and Midwifery, Health; Psychology and Behavioural Sciences and Sport and Public Health. In addition to the academic portfolio, two commercial and enterprise units form part of the faculty overall operations - the NMC Competency Test Centre and the Podiatry Clinic.
Faculty staff and students form a positive and integral part of the local community. The teams work closely with many external organisations – including local government, schools, health and social care providers and charities, these relationships benefit and enhance the student and staff experience, impacting positively on local and global communities and individuals.
