Role
We are looking for enthusiastic and compassionate Support Assistants to work across multiple Special Educational Needs (SEN) and Primary School provisions in the Bridgend area. This role provides an excellent opportunity to positively impact the lives of children with additional learning needs.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalised support to pupils with a range of SEN needs, including autism, ADHD, and emotional or learning difficulties.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) to meet students' needs.
- Create and maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with teachers and support staff to deliver effective education and care.
- Use creative and interactive methods to encourage development and learning.
- Travel between SEN and Primary provisions within the Bridgend area as required.
What We're Looking For
- Experience working with children or young people (experience in SEN settings is desirable but not essential).
- A compassionate and patient approach to supporting children with diverse needs.
- Flexibility to adapt to different locations and environments.
- A valid driving licence and access to your own vehicle (essential for travel requirements).
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to undertake training and complete required background checks, including an enhanced DBS.

All pay rates quoted include 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This role is for a temporary position, but in some cases, there may be an opportunity to transition to a permanent post at a later date.
