The Department for Child Protection is seeking a Directorate Business Manager to join the North Region Support Office on a full-time ongoing basis.
The role is responsible for:
* Providing a confidential point of contact and advisory service for Supervisors, Managers and Directors in relation to all HR, budgeting and business administration matters in the Directorate/Region.
* Managing operational resources effectively including financial, human resources and general administrative operations.
* Identifying and formulating opportunities for business improvement in line with strategic business planning.
* Monitoring monthly financial reports, expenditure and budget variations to meet budgetary requirements.
About You
We are looking for a confident individual who has the ability to work effectively to achieve positive business results by displaying initiative and sound judgment to identify service delivery improvement and opportunities.
You will also have experience in the planning, preparation and reporting of budget allocations, with knowledge of government accounting standards, policies, and practices.
To be successful in the role you will display leadership by providing advice, support and mentoring as well as disseminating agency knowledge and experience to staff across the region.
