Main Responsibilities Communication & Relationship Management Provide senior clinical support to the Business Unit (BU) Senior Leadership Team, ensuring clinical performance aligns with contractual and business objectives. Facilitate cross-service learning and monitor subcontractor compliance with performance agreements. Ensure the Senior Leadership Team has access to critical clinical quality and safety data. Analytical & Judgmental Skills Develop and embed audit plans to support service quality assurance. Interpret and communicate complex, sensitive clinical data to multidisciplinary teams. Lead reporting on CQUIN, QOF, KPIs, and Safety Events. Planning & Organisation Provide expert advice and support across service teams. Produce key reports, including the Quality Assurance & Risk Report and Board reports. Ensure robust clinical governance systems are in place. Patient Care & Experience Enhance patient satisfaction and experience, integrating innovative service improvements. Ensure evidence-based care practices and share learning from incidents, complaints, and investigations. People & HR Responsibilities Provide specialist training on quality assurance, risk management, and patient safety. Support HR investigations, including disciplinary processes. Information Management Maintain clinical and non-clinical records, ensuring data integrity. Act as Deputy Caldicott Guardian, ensuring safe and appropriate data sharing. Audit & Research Conduct clinical governance reviews, ensuring compliance with NICE guidelines. Utilise benchmarking data to drive quality improvements. Autonomy & Decision-Making Operate independently within agreed frameworks, escalating risks as necessary. Adapt to evolving priorities and manage workload effectively. Financial & Resource Management Lead financial initiatives, including business case development for quality improvements. Ensure cost-effective service delivery and budget alignment with quality priorities. Health, Safety & Risk Management Investigate patient safety incidents and maintain a robust BU Risk Log. Ensure risk management policies reflect national safety and governance standards. Policy & Service Development Integrate national quality and safety guidelines into local policies. Champion Quality Improvement, advising and training colleagues. Quality & Compliance Ensure services meet CQC, NICE, and contractual clinical requirements.
