Our stunning care home, Ruddington Manor Care Centre, is a purpose-built care home facility in Wilford, Nottingham. The home is registered to provide care to 66 residents with a variety of care needs, including residential and nursing. Ruddington Manor is rated GOOD in all domains by CQC. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort, and care to residents. Located conveniently, we have a very good local reputation. New Care has had zero agency usage for over 43 years, employing a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care from staff who know and residents who trust them. Across New Care, all staff are paid the national living wage or above.
We are seeking to appoint kind, caring, and compassionate Care Assistants to join our team. You will deliver quality care to residents in line with agreed Care Plans and contribute to the efficient and effective running of the Care Home. We have full-time contracts available with an hourly rate of £11.44. Shift times are 07:45-20:00, with alternate weekend working.
Role Responsibilities:
1. To deliver “hands-on” care to residents in a person-centred way.
2. Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life.
3. Model best practice when delivering care.
4. Assist residents in all aspects of their physical, emotional, and spiritual care needs in line with agreed care plans.
5. Contribute to the daily records of residents.
6. Contribute to effective teamwork and undertake tasks delegated to you efficiently and effectively.
7. Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of adults that the post holder is responsible for or comes into contact with.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Experience at Care Assistant level in a care environment is preferable.
2. Care certificate of equivalent or a willingness to achieve this within the first 12 months of employment.
3. Evidence of good care practice knowledge relating to the care of older people.
4. Demonstrate a sound knowledge of the 6 principles of care and how they underpin the delivery of care in a residential/nursing setting.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team.
6. Self-motivation and confidence.
