We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional to join our team as a Housing Advisor within a Local Authority. This is a 2-3 months contract opportunity.
Job Summary:
* To provide advice, information and assistance to applicants who are homeless or at risk of homelessness, helping them explore their housing options and find suitable accommodation that meets their needs.
* To work with a range of partners and agencies to prevent and reduce homelessness in the community.
Key Duties/Accountabilities:
* Offer guidance on available housing options, including temporary and permanent solutions.
* Assist applicants in completing relevant paperwork and forms.
* Collaborate with local authorities, charities, and other organizations to access additional resources and support.
* Conduct assessments to determine applicant eligibility for various schemes and initiatives.
* Provide emotional support and advocacy to vulnerable individuals.
Requirements:
* A degree in Social Work, Housing, or a related field.
* Proven experience working with homeless individuals or those at risk of homelessness.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 per annum
