As a Maintenance Team Leader, you will be working in one of the largest automated distribution centres in the world. My client has invested over 250 million pounds in the site, meaning you will be working with the latest technology on the market! They boast various robotic systems, sortation equipment, shuttles, and many more. They have gone through some initial teething problems on site and are now looking for a supervisor to come in supporting the current maintenance function to drive it with a more proactive approach. The business has gone from strength to strength and is incredibly stable with a turnover of over 3 billion globally.
The Role
The Maintenance Team Leader will support managerial duties and ensure that Frasers provides a fully functional automation system. This is a critical role, and the Team Leader will have experience in leading and coordinating a team of maintenance engineers and carry out hands-on maintenance to ensure the site runs smoothly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
1. Managing a large team of engineers including 1-2-1s, appraisals, support with hiring, and holiday management.
2. Working to KPIs on site - Site availability, Engineer utilisation, PPM completion.
3. Mentoring, guiding, and training the wider team.
4. Supporting shift handovers - reviewing previous issues.
5. CMMS - Analysis of data regarding recurring faults and problems.
6. Hands-on maintenance as needed.
7. Adhering to existing processes while helping to drive improvements.
The Person
To be successful in your application for a Maintenance Team Leader, you will need:
1. An electrical or mechanical qualification.
2. Experience managing teams.
3. Maintenance experience in a production, manufacturing, or warehousing environment.
4. Alternatively, you could be from the Navy, Army, or RAF with an electrical qualification.
