As a family business with family values our focus is on delivering excellent customer service every time The Role of Generator Field Service Engineer: Our Generator Field Service Engineers play a vital role in providing essential support to our customers, ensuring smooth operations across various sectors, including construction sites, industrial facilities, and events. Specialising in the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our fleet of generators, our engineers guarantee that equipment runs efficiently and reliably. You will join our dedicated service team who are passionate about delivering high-quality service and ensuring our customers receive dependable power solutions. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong technical background in generators and power systems, along with a commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. Duties of our Field Service Engineers include: Travel to various customer sites and/or locations to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to generator performance, including electrical and mechanical faults. Oversee the installation and commissioning of generators on-site. Replace, install and monitor/replace oil and fluids to ensure functionality Carry out scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs Provide excellent on-site technical support and advice to customers to ensure they have the right equipment for their needs. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and servicing activities. Procure and manage parts to effectively complete repairs as efficiently as possible Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations, including safety checks and implementing safe working procedures Escalating further concerns to our Central Service Manager Ensure high quality company standards and understanding the impact of great customer service Are you the right person for this role? The right candidate should have the following skills/qualifications and experience: Proven experience working with diesel generators or related power equipment, ideally within the plant hire, construction, or industrial sectors. Strong understanding of generator operation, maintenance, and fault diagnosis. Ability to work independently to resolve issues quickly and efficiently. Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent experience in a similar role. Be a CSCS Gold Card holder (Desirable) An effective communicator, specifically in explaining technical issues A customer-first approach.
