The Role
Are you child centered, proactive, resilient, creative, and dedicated to achieving the best outcomes for our young people and families? If so, we would love to hear from you!
We are seeking enthusiastic Residential Support Workers to work within our well-established, successfully run children’s homes within the Bolton Area. Hours of work will range from 18.5 per week to 37, which is full time.
The teams provide essential and valuable care to children and young people aged 8 to 17 years who may present with a range of complex needs, ensuring each child always feels safe and secure in their environment. We are looking for committed and passionate individuals who can engage with young people, encourage, and mentor them during their time in our care. The role will consist of utilizing the computer systems to develop and maintain individual care plans in line with the Children’s Homes Regulations. We provide regular supervision, and a variety of training opportunities are available. Some of our Residential Support Workers have gone on to train as qualified social workers.
A rota system is in operation as we are a 365-day-a-year service. Sleep-in duties are required along with weekday and weekend working hours.
If this sounds like an opportunity you’d like to know more about, we’d love to hear from you. For an informal chat, please contact either Gill Spencer or Neil Haydock, Registered Managers at Gillian.Spencer@bolton.gov.uk or neil.haydock@bolton.gov.uk.
This is a rolling advert; applications will be reviewed fortnightly, and shortlisted applicants invited to interview. Please indicate with your application what number of hours you are interested in. You will therefore receive a prompt response from us. We look forward to receiving your application.
