The Assistant Project Manager will support experienced project leaders, contributing to project planning, coordination, and delivery, while gaining hands-on experience in a dynamic, client-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Support: Assist senior project managers in all stages of project delivery, including planning, coordination, and execution, ensuring alignment with client expectations and project objectives.
2. Documentation and Reporting: Prepare and maintain project documentation, track progress, and assist in generating reports for internal teams and clients.
3. Stakeholder Communication: Support clear and timely communication with clients, contractors, and internal teams, maintaining strong relationships and ensuring project needs are met.
4. Budget and Cost Tracking: Assist in monitoring project budgets and expenses, helping to identify any potential variances and supporting budgetary control.
5. Quality Control: Support senior managers in maintaining quality standards, checking project outputs, and assisting with compliance to industry regulations and best practices.
6. Risk Management: Assist in identifying potential project risks and support the implementation of mitigation strategies to support project success.
Requirements
1. Experience: Some previous experience in project management or a related role, ideally within sectors such as healthcare, education, or infrastructure.
2. Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred. Enrollment in or completion of a project management qualification (e.g., APM or PRINCE2 Foundation) is a plus.
3. Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills, with a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.
4. Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of project management software (e.g., MS Project) and familiarity with project documentation processes.
