Overview
Arcus FM are looking to recruit a Head of People Services to operate as a key member of the HR senior leadership team. This position reports directly into the Chief People Officer, and has a remit to drive change throughout an already growing, and dynamic business. This is a role that will suit a HR Leader with the passion and experience to establish and lead a new People Services function.
Responsibilities
Working in partnership with the Chief People Officer and the People leadership team, drive change throughout all HR functions in line with our values and growth strategy. Also take responsibility for efficient people services support on all employee life-cycle processes such as of new talent, processing of colleague job changes, training and development and continuous improvement.
* In collaboration with the Chief People Office, design, deliver and implement a People Services strategy aligned to our immediate requirements, and overall business strategy.
* Establish, lead and develop an internal-customer focused People Services team to deliver an efficient service to colleagues and managers, whilst delivering service and system improvements.
* Become the process improvement champion, and drive efficiencies to improve the HR service through enhanced automation.
* Oversee the development and delivery of an HR administration model (including payroll, training & development, onboarding, colleague job changes, referencing, colleague contract management, absenteeism and ER) to meet strategic and operational objectives.
* Develop and lead a team who are motivated to deliver effective and accurate people processes and advice, maintaining our data to ensure accuracy of our single source of people data.
* Keep current with industry trends and leverage vendors appropriately to ensure all People Service operations are keeping pace with the market and external benchmarks.
* Be responsible for the management and delivery of people risks, to ensure the team and organisation are compliant with employment law and legislation such as GDPR.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must have;
* A background operating in senior HR positions, either in a ‘Head of’ or equivalent level, with experience of facilitating change within an established HR function, in a fast-paced environment.
* Significant experience of HR shared service activities including UK payroll and legislative compliance (including GDPR).
* A proven track record of managing, leading, and developing a People Services team.
* Demonstrable experience of process improvement, leveraging automation and implementing simplicity within a HR function.
* The ability to deliver both BAU and implement process improvement strategies at the same time.
* The ability to influence stakeholders at all levels, while managing senior internal relationships.
* Experience with motivating an existing HR team to embrace change, while providing clear direction and measurable targets to track progress, and proactively identify issues.
* Strong knowledge of UK Payroll, and wider UK legislative processes.
* A strong focus on designing people services metrics and KPIs to monitor and demonstrate effective customer service.
* The ability to employ a consultative approach in identifying and understanding areas for improvement, while only accommodating external suggestions if useful, and aligned to the overall business strategy.

* Salary: £60,000-65,000 depending on experience
