As a Safeguarding Adults Officer, You Will Play a Crucial Role In: Providing an effective frontline response to safeguarding adult concerns and enquiries received. Collaborating with partner agencies to ensure appropriate information sharing and coordinated responses to safeguarding referrals. Conducting initial assessments and enquiries, gathering relevant information to determine the level of risk and appropriate safeguarding interventions. Supporting the wider social care sector in West Berkshire with advice and guidance related to adult safeguarding concerns. Attending safeguarding strategy meetings and providing support in the investigation and resolution of safeguarding issues. Maintaining accurate and confidential records of safeguarding cases, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations. Contributing to the development and delivery of safeguarding awareness training for staff and partner organisations. Supporting the Safeguarding Adults Board in the collection and analysis of data to identify trends and inform service improvements. We Are Seeking Someone With a Good Understanding Of The Care Act 2014 And The Councils Statutory Duties In Respect Of Adult Safeguarding To Provide An Excellent Comprehensive Adult Safeguarding Service To The Members Of The Public And Our Partners In West Berkshire. The Ideal Candidate Will Possess The Following Skills And Attributes: Sound knowledge and understanding of safeguarding adults legislation, policies, and best practices. Experience in handling safeguarding referrals, conducting enquiries, and working collaboratively with multi-agency partners. Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to evaluate complex information and make informed decisions. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with individuals, colleagues, and external stakeholders. Confidentiality and professionalism when dealing with sensitive information. Ability to work independently, manage a diverse caseload, and prioritise tasks effectively. A positive and proactive approach, demonstrating resilience in challenging situations. You will need to be pragmatic, flexible and able to communicate well with a range of individuals, including adults that are experiencing difficulties, some of whom may be in receipt of care and support services. You will be an organised, calm and thoughtful individual who is able to juggle tasks and priorities to get the work done.
