An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Force Intelligence Function for Hub Intelligence Assistants. The work of the function is central to our understanding of criminality and the force’s delivery of intelligence led policing. This is done through evaluating, prioritising, researching, developing and tasking intelligence to tackle offenders and address crime and incident problems, taking into account threat, risk, harm and vulnerability.
You will work with police officers and police staff in the Hub Intelligence Team. You will receive, process and assess information and intelligence, updating and maintaining record management systems using the principles of THRIVE (threat, harm, risk, investigation, vulnerability and engagement). You will assist in the research, corroboration and development of intelligence and the preparation of intelligence products.
The successful candidates will have experience of creating, updating and reviewing information within computerised systems. The ability to work effectively as part of a team is essential; however, you will also be able to demonstrate initiative and problem-solving skills. Good verbal and written communication skills are required, as is the ability to demonstrate a high level of confidentiality with sensitive information.
Experience working in an intelligence role with practical experience of the National Intelligence Model and experience of researching information in Niche integrated records management systems is desirable.
Hub Intelligence Assistants are part of a team who cover seven days a week from 07:00 to 20:00 hours, with associated irregular working and weekend working allowance. The full-time shift pattern attracts 7.5% irregular working allowance and 247 hours weekend work enhancement.
