About the organisation: Cambridgeshire Music for Wellbeing (CMFW) is a growing business that offers music therapy to the community within the Cambridgeshire region. At CMFW you will work with an expansive variety of populations, covering a range of clients’ needs. As the name suggests, people’s wellbeing is our focus, supported by a passion for music and application of proven therapeutic theory.
About the role:
I am seeking a passionate music therapist to individually run therapeutic sessions on behalf of Cambridgeshire Music for Wellbeing. CMFW’s reputation has led to an increasing workload which has opened a position of a locum. It is anticipated that more work will become available as the business grows. Your role would involve:
* Deliver music therapy sessions to individuals and groups in different settings. These include care home residents and children and young adults with special educational needs.
* Adopt provided session structures and adapt them where necessary to meet changing client needs.
* Attend management meetings and clinical supervision on a monthly basis.
* Good time management skills and accountability to ensure punctuality to sessions.
* Be able to provide your own instrument kit for therapy work.
* Opportunities to teach private music lessons are likely to become available. Please state in your covering letter if this would be of interest to you.
Minimum Requirements:
* Qualified music therapist
* HCPC registered
* Public liability and professional indemnity insurance
* Relevant experience and references in music therapy
* Full UK driving license. The role requires driving to different sessions in Cambridgeshire. Travel expenses will be compensated past 15 miles of travel within the county.
* Experience teaching music and an interest in picking up students for Cambridgeshire Music for Wellbeing
