Where We Need You: We are looking to recruit a client-focused Business Development Director to join our UK sales team. The successful candidate will be helping clients within our Risk and Compliance Practice; specifically focused on developing our Financial Crime Compliance offering. What You Can Expect: The Business Development Director is integral to the business as they provide crucial information for identifying, securing, and retaining clients. The role also offers exposure to consulting projects across diverse industry sectors within a dynamic and collaborative hybrid culture. We partner closely with the four Consulting Practice areas of Protiviti (Internal Audit & Financial Advisory, Risk & Compliance, Technology Consulting and Business Performance Improvement) to help generate and identify opportunities. Building relationships directly with business owners, senior and C-Suite level contacts, the successful candidate will be comfortable and experienced in leading these interactions on behalf of Protiviti. You will provide clients with a range of solutions across our three delivery models: consulting, managed solutions, and resource augmentation, as well as providing relevant and industry leading thought leadership insights. The key solution focus for this position is within our Risk and Compliance Team. Key Responsibilities: Arrange and lead sales meetings with decision-makers within the Financial Crime Compliance sector. Discover and qualify interim resources to resolve your clients’ resourcing needs. Accountable for identifying and converting revenue generating opportunities. Collaborating closely with the internal teams to support client deliverables and gaining extensive knowledge about Protiviti’s offerings and consulting capabilities. Working efficiently across several complex, global, and interesting key accounts where you will build out your knowledge of operational effectiveness as well as risks and compliance using technology. Comfortable operating on strategic and global accounts to expand accounts and be able to efficiently map existing account contacts to leverage more sales and find more buyers. Network internally with your Protiviti solution contacts and externally to gain market intelligence. Crisis management and being able to deal with things well when they go wrong. You will be working with technical experts and clients seeking to make a difference to resolve some of the world’s most challenging business problems so it’s exciting to be part of the solution. Do Your Talents Include the Following? Proven track record of demonstrating success in managed solutions, consulting, or a recruitment agency environment. Can demonstrate experience of building long term and meaningful relationships with a multitude of clients across the UK in the financial crime sector which have led to successful introductions. Can talk about your sales numbers and share success stories around the work and the value you have brought to your business. Great people and relationship management skills leading to longevity of contact and being seen as a trusted source for clients within the technology sector. Demonstrated capability of handling complex accounts successfully. Aptitude to operate consistently with a positive approach. Ability to identify and use knowledge of current industry trends to identify engagement opportunities. Good with difficult client conversations and seeking to find a resolution. Advanced written and verbal communication skills. Comfortable in building and delivering presentations. Our Workplace and Employment Process Protiviti practices a hybrid working model, which is a combination of working in person with purpose and working remotely and is primarily dependent upon the needs of our client. The ratio of remote to in-person requirements varies by client, project, team, and other business factors. It can sometimes mean more of a full-time presence at our client. This model creates meaningful experiences for our people and our clients while offering a flexible environment. Our people work both in-person in local Protiviti offices and on client sites, which can include local, or UK wide travel based on our projects and client requests and commitments. Remuneration and Benefits Starting salaries are competitive and are based on a full-time equivalent schedule. Placement in the salary range is dependent upon experience, skills and geographic work location. Employees are eligible for medical and dental insurance cover, life assurance, pension scheme and receive up to 25 days holiday per calendar year.
