Main duties of the job We are inviting applications for a Deputy Divisional Director of Operations within Division C. This is an exciting opportunity for an existing Care Group Manager to progress within the division, and forms part of the Trust's talent management strategy for operational staff. The successful candidate will retain management of their care group but will also take on additional responsibilities including deputising for the Divisional Director where required as well as taking on wider tasks across the division. This opportunity is open to existing CGMs within Division C Only. Detailed Job Description And Main Responsibilities The post holder will be responsible for directly supporting the Divisional Director of Operations in providing high-level operational and strategic business planning and leadership to ensure that the Division provides high quality patient care and achieves its performance objectives. The role will also deputise for the Divisional Director of Operations, whilst having direct responsibility for a specified care group. Where appropriate, as delegated by the Divisional Director of Operations, to undertake significant additional leadership and management responsibility for a specified service or major project(s), managing multiple stakeholder relationships both internally and externally. To support the Divisional Director of Operations in leading on strategic alignment across the organisation, specifically the Trust’s divisions and in the wider health and social care economy. Provide leadership, support and mentorship to other care group managers and their teams as required. Person specification Qualifications / Training Required Essential criteria First degree or equivalent Evidence of post-qualification study/professional development to masters level (post grad certificate/MBA/MSc) or demonstrable equivalent general management experience. Specialist Management qualification / training or able to show equivalent extensive experience to this level. Previous or relevant experience necessary Essential criteria Substantial experience of working competently in an acute healthcare or equivalent setting in a senior operational delivery/management position. Understanding and experience of working across a range of specialist areas. Demonstrable knowledge of National and Local NHS; including national service frameworks. Evidence of advanced leadership qualities. Evidence of successful leadership, management and engagement of clinical teams to introduce change. Experience of successful delegated budget management and evidence of achieving financial and finite resource targets.
