Our client develops, engineers and manufactures high integrity, complex castings within the Automotive, EV, Motorsport, Aerospace, Defence, Petrochemical and architectural industries. They now require an Engineering Team Leader to manage the employees within the manufacturing plant. The role will involve the supervising and training of new and existing employees to ensure that they integrate into the manufacturing environment and understand what is expected of them at the various stages of their development. It will also be important to identify their strengths and areas that will require further training, so that the person can become fully integrated into the foundry environment and hence encourage them to reach their full potential. In addition there will be requirements for the planning and managing of production targets, planning for the day ahead and liaising with all manufacturing units within the facility as required. Summary Job Requirements Train, develop and manage new and existing staff, including induction and direction. Assess production targets, including planning and management of production. Prepare for the day ahead, including team meetings and specific instruction to team members. Essential Requirements 5 years of experience as a team leader Have demonstrable leadership qualities and will have trained as a leader, with proven leadership skills. Level 3 in a Mechanical Engineering discipline Be able to supervise and train new people Preferred, But Not Essential Requirements Experience from within any of the following industries: moulding, plastics, composites, pressure die casting. Sand Foundry/casting background with associated skill and experience. Pattern making technology experience.
