We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our Trading Standards team to work across a wide range of civil & criminal law enforcement duties and to provide advice to local businesses in areas such as product safety, animal feedstuffs, weights and measures and fair trading.
The successful candidate will have significant enforcement experience & will preferably already hold a full trading standards qualification (DTS or DCATS with metrology paper). However, we will also accept applications from part-qualified candidates with relevant enforcement experience, albeit on a lower salary & on a temporary basis until full qualification)
For part-qualified staff, the salary offered will be dependent on the stage of entry into the qualification framework.
The postholder will be expected to travel efficiently across Argyll & Bute and have a flexible approach to out-of-hours & weekend working.
