Michelle Denny Recruitment Consultancy is looking for someone pretty special… a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) professional or Actuary who combines the core skills of an accountant, the analytical mindset of a financial forecasting expert, and the top-tier communication skills of a relationship manager. The salary package is c£65,000pa with hybrid working options, with the base in East Anglia. Working alongside the Finance team and with international stakeholders, this role will involve regular and direct interaction with international counterparts and will involve providing critical financial information and analysis. Enhancing the financial performance through strategic planning and insightful analysis, you’ll be fostering strong financial decision-making across the business. A detailed job description is available with a snapshot of the areas of responsibility as below: Financial Analysis: Identifying trends, risks and opportunities for improvement Conduct variance analysis to compare actual results with budgets and forecasts including monthly and YTD fluctuations Develop financial models for scenario planning, forecasting and investment analysis Reporting: Prepare and deliver detailed financial reports, dashboards & presentations to Management / Board, including Board Packs Summarise complex financial data into concise, meaningful insights for decision-making. Provide ad-hoc reports as required to address specific business queries or challenges. Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with departmental managers to develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts. Monitor budget adherence and highlight deviations for corrective action. Update financial forecasts to reflect current business performance and market conditions. Strategic Support: Assist in evaluating strategic initiatives, including market expansion, cost-saving projects, or investment opportunities. Provide data-driven recommendations to support business goals and enhance financial performance. Competitor and market data to benchmark performance and identify opportunities. Process and System Improvement: Identify inefficiencies in financial analysis processes and recommend improvements. Work with IT or system administrators to optimise financial tools and reporting systems. Ensure timely and accurate data input into financial systems for reliable reporting. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with key stakeholders across the UK and international Group to gather and interpret financial data. Build strong relationships with UK/international management to ensure alignment on financial objectives. Act as a financial resource for non-finance teams, explaining data and processes clearly. You’ll need to be qualified by industry or hold certification, as well as be proficient in financial modelling, reporting and forecasting.
