Salary: 83.85-95 per day
Job Summary:
We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and creative Play Assistant to support children in a safe, fun, and engaging play environment in an EYFS setting. The Play Assistant will help facilitate activities, supervise children, and promote positive interactions while ensuring a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supervise and engage children in play activities.
* Support structured and unstructured play, encouraging creativity and social skills.
* Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
* Assist in setting up and tidying play areas and equipment.
* Support children with additional needs, ensuring an inclusive environment.
* Promote positive behavior and help resolve minor conflicts in a friendly and supportive manner.
* Work collaboratively with other staff members to maintain a high standard of care.
* Communicate effectively with parents, caregivers, and colleagues.
* Follow all safeguarding, health, and safety procedures.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children in a play, childcare, or educational setting (preferred).
* A friendly, patient, and approachable personality.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Basic first aid training (or willingness to complete training).
* Knowledge of child development and play-based learning (desirable).
* A relevant childcare qualification (desirable but not required).
* Ability to adapt to different situations and engage children of various ages.
Must have:
* Right to work in the UK
* Child Enhanced DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
* At least 2 references covering the last 24 months
