Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive administrative support, ensuring the smooth operation of our office environment. This role requires proficiency in various software applications and a keen ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a professional demeanour.
Responsibilities
1. Formulates delivery loads, vehicle schedules and routes to be followed by delivery staff.
2. Ensures the safe and timely pick up and delivery of shipments.
3. Monitors shipments, costs, timeline and productivity.
4. Addressees and resolves shipments and inventory issues.
5. Monitors and maintains records of hours worked and distance travelled by drivers.
6. Dispatches drivers to complete deliveries.
7. Records shipment details on the computer system.
8. Reviews driver logs.
9. Responds to client feedback or complaints.
10. Other duties as assigned.
Experience
* Proven experience in an administrative role or similar position is preferred.
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
* Proficiency in computerised systems, particularly Google Suite and QuickBooks.
* Excellent typing skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry.
* Familiarity with general office procedures and clerical responsibilities.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to problem-solving.
