Electrical Estimator (Rail) £55k - £65k Package (Or Contract Day Rate) CP7 tenders are coming in thick and fast for our client, who have developed strong relationships with Tier 1 contractors delivering on NWR / LUL projects in the SE. They need to grow their South London based team and bring on an additional Electrical Estimator who has a proven track record of pricing and winning works in the UK rail market. Role Overview: As an Electrical Design Estimator, you will be responsible for providing accurate electrical cost estimates and detailed design input for a variety of commercial and industrial projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure that projects are estimated correctly and completed within budget and timeline constraints. Key Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed electrical design and cost estimates for commercial and industrial projects. • Interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements to produce accurate and competitive bids. • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotes and technical information. • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and project teams. • Provide technical and commercial advice on electrical systems, solutions, and potential cost-saving opportunities. • Review and evaluate project documentation to ensure alignment with client specifications and company standards. • Manage and oversee the submission of tenders, including scope, design, and pricing. • Attend site visits and meetings to review project progress and ensure compliance with designs and cost estimates. Key Requirements: • Strong background in electrical design, with experience in both commercial and industrial sectors. • Proven experience in estimating electrical projects, including detailed design calculations and cost management. • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, building services, and regulations. • Proficiency in industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or equivalent). • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. • Strong commercial acumen with a keen eye for detail. • Relevant electrical engineering qualifications (e.g., HNC, HND, or equivalent) are desirable
