About the role: Business Engagement Specialist The Business Engagement Specialist (BES) team offers an exciting opportunity to directly collaborate with employers, supporting them in developing their talent pipelines. Our team provides a range of apprenticeships and assists businesses in recruiting apprentices through our programs. Additionally, we work closely with employers to facilitate T-level student placements. In this primarily outward-facing role, you will engage with employers through outreach efforts and follow up on various leads and inquiries. Internally, you will collaborate with performance coaches, tutors, and faculty managers. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with businesses, helping them address their recruitment challenges by connecting them with a talent pipeline through apprenticeships, T-level placements, and other forms of collaboration with our college group. This is a permanent, full time position based in Reading, with hybrid working available. What do you need to be a successful Business Engagement Specialist at Activate Learning? We are seeking a highly effective communicator and relationship builder who is experienced in meeting targets and KPIs. The ideal candidate will be exceptionally organised, efficient, and adaptable, with a keen interest in the education sector. Experience in sales or engagement roles is highly desirable, along with a solid understanding of apprenticeships and/or T-Levels. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with employers, local businesses, and learners, ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality service. About You: Demonstrated experience in commercial, sales, or business development roles. Experience working with public and private sector organisations. Strong networking and relationship management skills. Ideally, you have prior experience in a similar role within a corporate setting and are motivated by achieving goals and meeting targets.
