Job Overview:
As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for the upkeep and reliability of our processing equipment. Working closely with our manufacturing team, you will ensure that machinery runs efficiently and effectively to minimize downtime. This role is key to supporting our production operations, and it offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities for Maintenance Engineer:
1. Carry out routine and reactive maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
2. Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLC-related faults.
3. Execute preventative maintenance schedules to ensure minimal production disruption.
4. Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment.
5. Maintain records of maintenance activities and liaise with production to prioritize work.
6. Promote and adhere to safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment at all times.
7. Collaborate with other departments to resolve technical issues and support continuous improvement projects.
Requirements for Maintenance Engineer:
1. Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer in a heavy environment.
2. Strong skills in both electrical and mechanical maintenance (multi-skilled background).
3. Familiarity with PLC fault-finding and diagnostics.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive and adaptable approach.
5. Knowledge of health and safety practices in an industrial setting.
6. Engineering qualification (Must be Apprentice Trained!).
