I am a teenage boy living in the Treboeth area of Swansea I have a diagnosis of ASD. I would like to employ a PA to provide care and support in accessing social activities. I enjoy walking, trampolining, cycling, swimming and outdoor park life. I am open to suggestions for other suitable leisure activities. I am looking for a PA that has experience working with helping people with intellectual and physical disability. A person that is flexible to work 2-3 weekday early afternoons to early evenings, coupled with the occasional weekends. some personal care will be required and support with general basic skills, like, getting dressed and crossing the road etc. My PA should be able to confidently support me in my own home, some food preparation, a little cooking, cleaning and undertaking personal care routine and be a responsible and dependable communicator.
Hours of work:
2-3 weekday early afternoons to early evenings, coupled with the occasional weekends.
To work up to 9 hours a week, and possibly raising up to 20 hours a week after six months.
Male / Female preferred – no preference.
Car Driver Required – Preferable with own car but not essential.
Rate of pay: £12.75 p/h
Tasks involved:
• To support me to access social activities.

• Support with basic skills e.g. getting dressed and crossing the road etc.

Concerning the position
This will be a job requiring a National Insurance number and the right to work in the UK. A trial period will be necessary in the first instance in the form of a six-month probationary period. The salary will be paid monthly and appropriate holiday pay given. A police check (DBS) may be required; the employer will meet the costs of this.
