Crest Nicholson's South region are now recruiting for a Technical Director to strategically lead the Technical team, developing and delivering successful developments with a proactive, forward thinking approach. By building a structurally effective team, building close relationships with the board of Directors and striving to develop and improve the South division's land bank and development opportunities within the market, this will enable the successful candidate to maximise business opportunities and growth for your division. Reporting to the Managing Director, you will be collaboratively working towards the common goal in managing expectations on delivery and deadlines in order to achieve realistic production targets. Purpose of the role To lead the Technical team with technical appraisals, abnormal costings of potential development land and pre-operational programmes are provided within required timescales. Oversee structural/architectural designs and development proposals to produce the most cost effective scheme compatible with Town Planning, Building and Marketing opportunities. Make leading decisions on strategic land acquisitions and Planning Appeals, including technical studies, negotiating with statutory Authorities, instructing Consultants and obtaining/vetting their reports. Ensure within the Technical Department an awareness is maintained of the need for suitable development land to be acquired. Focus on building robust scope and cost plans for all investigations to educate our initial bid process working with land and development. Leading the business plans for each new site, you will be leading on all release schedules, procurement processes with a robust understanding of the sales market and cost inflation over the life of the project.
