Learning Support Assistant – Secondary School (NE6 Area, Near Heaton Park)
Location: NE6 area, near Heaton Park, with great Metro and bus links.
Are you passionate about helping young people succeed ? Do you have a patient, supportive nature and an interest in working in education? A well-respected secondary school near Heaton Park is looking for a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide in-class and pastoral support to students.
The Role:
✔ Work closely with teachers to support students with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) needs .
✔ Provide 1:1 and small-group support, helping students stay engaged with learning.
✔ Assist with classroom management and behaviour strategies.
✔ Foster an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
What We’re Looking For:
✔ Enthusiasm for supporting young people and an interest in education.
✔ Experience in a school setting (desirable but not essential).
✔ A valid DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
✔ A positive and adaptable attitude, with a willingness to learn.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
