An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Registered Manager to run a Children’s Home for 12 months. This is for an establish home, that has a ‘Good’ Ofsted regulated service ensuring the highest standards of service are delivered. In keeping with the company ethos, the Registered Manager is focused on quality, excellent service delivery, business development and the drive for commercial success.
We are working on behalf of this great company, who already have a great reputation for giving exceptional standards of care for Children with EBD. They care deeply about the future of the children within their services and want to continue to achieve great results.
This role does require a Children’s Home Manager/deputy manager with proven Ofsted experience and running a team! The service has a full team in place but does require a strong leader to continue driving through the changes put in place in the service this year.
The main responsibilities of the Children’s Home Manager include:
Comply with Safeguarding Children’s procedures at all times and promote an honest and open culture
Comply with the Health and Safety policies at all times
Ensure that the service meets the mandated training and Health and Safety compliance targets.
Manage a fully compliant service in respect of all relevant legislation and regulation
Adhere to all Company policies and procedures at all times
Promote and ensure the good reputation of the Company at all times
Always act in a professional manner, operating with integrity, respecting individuals and maintaining confidentiality
Participate in the managers ‘out of hours’ on-call roster
The key skills and experience required for the Children’s Home Manager include:
QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management Health & Social Care/Children & Young Peoples Work Force
Thorough understanding and knowledge of relevant legislation and regulation relating to young people’s regulated services
Proven track record of successfully managing similar childcare facilities – history of delivering ‘Good’ or ‘Outstanding’ with Ofsted
Experience working with Children who have Emotional & Behavioural difficulties
An ability to communicate effectively on all levels with internal and external bodies
Strong staff management and budgetary skills.
