Due to continued growth and a strong order book, we are looking to recruit for an Assembly and Test Manager to join a leading manufacturer based near Keighley.

The successful candidate will be required to manage the day-to-day workload of the assembly and test department to ensure output is maintained. Candidates will also be hands-on in the role and will be involved in the assembly and testing of mechanical products. Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be confident in reading engineering drawings.
Testing of products is up to 26 bar; therefore, experience in testing to this level is also advantageous.
Interested candidates will ideally be time-served with demonstrable experience working within a manufacturing/assembly-based environment. Experience in the assembly of pumps, valves, or gearboxes is ideal.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7AM-4PM OR 8AM-5PM

Due to the nature of the work, candidates must be British citizens and be able to obtain security clearance.
The Role
* Manage the workload and staffing requirements to ensure maximum efficiency within the department.
* Ensure timely delivery of products to inspection and dispatch functions.
* Assemble products according to drawings.
* Operate test rigs to test valves in accordance with requirements on work orders, completing documentation related to tests and entering information onto the computer systems.
* Enhance and improve upon existing processes.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 standards across the business.
* Carry out testing of products to specified product methods and in line with standards and procedures and health and safety requirements.
* Ensure that all tools/machines used are fit for purpose and report any problems to supervision immediately.
* Recommend and carry out any improvements in line with the company's continuous improvement program.
* Work at all times within health and safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE.
* Keep accurate and up-to-date production records.
Qualifications/Skills
* Time served within a mechanical engineering capacity.
* Strong man management skills with the ability to effectively manage a team of 6 staff.
* Attention to detail and pride in the quality of work.
* Demonstrable experience in the assembly of mechanical products - valves, pumps, or gearboxes.
