An established manufacturing client based in the DE21 is seeking an experienced Procurement Specialist.
This is a 12-month FTC contract hybrid role that will involve some travelling to our sites.
Key Duties
1. Develop and implement category management strategies.
2. Lead contract negotiations with suppliers.
3. Manage purchase ordering.
4. Work with suppliers to leverage savings and build long-term relationships.
5. Develop a set of procurement tools as necessary, including electronic tendering, electronic signature, contract database, supplier catalogue portal, and spend categorisation tools.
6. Monitor and report key procurement metrics such as savings delivered and volume of purchase orders.
7. Carry out any other purchasing duties as may arise from time to time.

1. Good technical purchasing knowledge - processes, systems.
2. Stakeholder engagement and project delivery.
3. Purchase ordering.
4. Good computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
5. Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills.

7. Ability to work to tight deadlines.
