The Central Craft Bakery (our internal name for The Bread Factory) is the UK’s leading craft bakery. We make award-winning bread, pastries, and cakes and are the proud suppliers to London’s Michelin restaurants, prestigious hotels, and even the King!

In this role, you will support our Milton Keynes team to produce the highest quality bread and pastries from our state-of-the-art mechanized line. As a Pastry Production Operator, you will play a key role in delivering these quality products at scale and delivering exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
* Carry out production activity to a consistently high standard of quality
* Carry out safe manual handling techniques
* Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment at all times
* Report any machinery defects to the Engineering team / Manager
* Follow the training you have been given (e.g. to set up machines, carry out automated machine washes, etc.)
* Support your colleagues in carrying out your duties
* Adhere to high standards of food safety, food hygiene, and quality standards
* Clean as you go, empty full bins, remove any waste from the floors, and clean machinery
* Complete all paperwork and checks as required
* Ensure correct stock rotation as required
Requirements
* Experience gained in a bakery/manufacturing is desirable but not essential
* Good standards of literacy and numeracy required
* Proactive and able to adapt to new requirements
* Good attention to detail
* Ability to act in a professional and courteous manner
* Able to work as part of a team
* Ability to manage change and work effectively under pressure
* Able to work on own initiative and able to work flexible hours
Contracted hours: 40 hours – Full Time
Hourly Rate: £13.10
Working Hours: 3pm-11pm
Shift Pattern: Monday-Friday (Weekend flexibility required)
