Plastic Injection Molding Process Technician

Description
3 to 4 years of Experience in Interior Plastic Injection Molding as Process Engineer is required.
To define optimal molding processes for products and train technical teams on achieving same results.
Key Responsibilities
1. Responsible for AQP and PPAP requirements per AIAG Standards.
2. Problem solving on QPR format.
3. Responsible for all processes and mold related items.
4. Mold Management – track location, cost, PM, quotes.
5. Train technicians in mold set-up, molding processing.
6. Establish mold documentation and maintain documentation.
7. Sample new materials and molds.
8. Optimization of molding processes.
9. Define training requirements of maintenance technicians and train internally as needed.
10. Mold repair and reduction of root causes of failure modes.
11. Must have basic knowledge of TS16949 and know the Quality Policy.
12. Follow the safety rules, report safety problems and all injuries, regardless of severity.
13. Ensure plant safety and 5S housekeeping standards are maintained.
14. Manage and direct personnel as required.
15. Organize and keep all set up information updated including process set up sheets, process validation and process compliance logs.
Physical Demands:
* Standing – occasionally required on concrete floor when repairing equipment
* Walking – sometimes required during repairing or doing maintenance
* Lifting – occasional lifting from floor to waist level
* Reaching – occasionally extending arms and hands in front of body and below the waist when repairing machines
* Turning/twisting – occasionally required time to perform job functions
* Bending/stooping – occasionally required

Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience along with the knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
