SENIOR SUPPORT WORKER
30 hrs pw in our Residential Services
£13.22 per hour rising to £13.69 per hour after a succesful 6 month probationary period
Summary of Role
We are looking for a motivated individual to assist the Service Manager with a range of leadership responsibilities, to include providing supervision and support for an identified team and to manage the day to day support for individuals within the service. The post holder will provide person-centred support in response to each individual’s needs and aspirations, which will require the post holder to be flexible and responsive to change. The position will involve a rota over days, evenings and weekends.
Requirements:
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• An effective communicator to liaise with staff, parents, management and third parties clearly and concisely both verbally and written.
• A flexible and adaptable individual who can think on their feet to manage a busy service.
• To be willing to undertake additional required training commensurate with the post.
• Social care qualification, or willingness to undertake this.
• Ideally have previous experience of leading a team in a similar service.
