We are working in partnership with a leading manufacturer who specializes in packaging for a number of industries and is one of the UK's largest manufacturers in its sector. They have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join their existing team.
The main purpose of the role will be to ensure all PPM/TPM is complete and make recommendations for modifications to achieve OEE.

The Role
1. Fault find, diagnose and repair on a variety of machines including autoclaves/moulding, hot wire cutting machines, and others.
2. Resolve machine breakdowns promptly to ensure maximum throughput and meet customer demand.
3. Working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
4. Experience in mechanical maintenance on items like motors, bearings, pumps, valves, mechanical drive systems, hydraulics, and cooling systems.
5. PPM / TPM activities.
6. Recommended machine modifications to enhance OEE and increase productivity.
7. 90% Mechanical.
8. This role includes an on-call rota (1/3 week, on rotation, Mon-Fri up to 10pm, on-call enhancement paid, any hours worked on call paid at an enhanced rate).
The Candidate
1. Will hold a Level 3 mechanical qualification or equivalent.
2. Experience as a maintenance engineer within a manufacturing environment.
3. Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics.
4. Experience of working safely with electrical systems.
5. Ability to prioritize jobs to reduce downtime.
6. Must be able to commit to the on-call rota (currently 1 week out of every 3).
